Joy for 300 kids as they receive Inter Campus kits at event organised with the help of Italian Embassy in Brazil

RIO DE JANEIRO – Saturday 15 June was a day to remember for 300 boys and girls involved in the Inter Campus programme in Rio. The kids gathered at Casa Do Marinheiro to receive the new Inter kit and play together with their friends and trainers.
A presentation ceremony was held to introduce the initiative, organised in collaboration with the Italian Embassy in Brazil, the Consulate-General in Rio de Janeiro and SAP Brasil, at the end of which Italian Ambassador Raffaele Trombetta and the other guests present handed out official jerseys to the gleeful youngsters. The boys and girls repaid them with smiles of joy, hugs and... a few samba steps!

MORATTI: "INTER MUST ALWAYS SET OUT TO WIN THE LEAGUE"

"In times of difficulty, the fans' behaviour has been exceptional"
MILAN – "I would have written worse," joked Massimo Moratti about the organised supporters' protest at the Stadio Meazza a few weeks ago, as he addressed fans at the Curva Nord's end-of-year party in Milan this evening.
He added: "Inter are a team that must set out to win the league every season. In times of difficulty, the fans' behaviour has been exceptional." (ANSA)

MORATTI: "WE MUST DO MORE THAN LAST SEASON"

"We'll do the transfers we need to for the team. Mazzarri hasn't given us a list of specific names"

MILAN - "We must do more than last season. We'll do the transfers we need to for the team, but Mazzarri hasn't given us a list of specific names." That was Massimo Moratti speaking to the fans after making a surprise appearance at the Curva Nord's end-of-season party.
What do Inter need to be able to challenge for the Scudetto? "Hard work and good players," replied the Nerazzurri president with a smile.
Asked whether Inter would be signing a top striker or perhaps have to sell off an important player, Moratti said: "We'll see." Guarin has been mooted as a possible departure, with Tottenham supposedly interested. "He's a good player," the president remarked. (ANSA)

INTER CAMPUS IN CAMBODIA WITH 'MISSIONE POSSIBILE' KIDS

Inter Campus delegation given a fantastic welcome by primary school children in the village of Roong

PHNOM PENH – The things that strike you most when arriving in Cambodia are the smiles and the friendliness of the people there. Friendliness mixed with enlightenment, resignation and a placid sense of calmness, perhaps thanks to the fact that the population still hold deep-rooted Buddhist beliefs despite the atrocities committed during the regime of the Khmer Rouge and Pol Pot.
In this part of the world, where nature looks on as time slowly passes by, where there is still an air of tranquillity despite the hectic traffic and abject poverty in the streets that the majority of the population still have to live with, Inter Campus went back to take a close-up look at the project run in partnership with the Missione Possibile charity for the children of the village of Roong, and to continue the training and development of local teachers.
In 2005 the Missione Possibile charity set up a primary school here. Prior to the arrival of the charity, the children in Roong weren’t able to have any formal schooling. The nearest school was miles away and, in order to reach it, the youngsters had to walk along a busy road – far too dangerous for them.
Back at the start of the project, the school was a tent and only had one teacher. Today, 350 children attend the Missione Possibile school, with children also making their way there from other nearby villages. Inter Campus have been working with the school for almost two years. That means that the boys and girls now have the chance to have fun while learning and have fun while taking part in a sporting activity.
The youngsters didn’t pass up the chance to give us a fantastic welcome during the visit. The children lined the sides of the road leading to the school, forming a long human corridor, and cheered as we went by. A day of fun and learning culminated in a football tournament and, despite the scorching 38°C heat, was expertly officiated by coaches Gabriele Raspelli and Paola Balconi.

VERIDIANA MALLMANN, NERAZZURRI FAN

We met her at the Pirelli flagship store for her season ticket renewal and hug for the Pirelli Cup, won in Baltimore against Manchester City in 2010

MILAN – Veridiana Mallmann has always been an Interista. She’s a showgirl in Italy with a German surname and Brazilian nationality, and is now an entrepreneur in the cosmetics sector. Veridiana learned the basics on football from her dad, a coach in Brazil’s 3rd division and such a Nerazzurri fan that he became emotional when she brought him to the San Siro for the first time.

We met her at the Pirelli Store on Corso Venezia 1 in Milan. Accompanying her was her boyfriend, Simone Giancola; this entrepreneur and Nerazzurri fan holds a season ticket in the tribuna d’onore section and in his case as well there’s a family tradition, as Simone has been a season ticket holder for nearly 14 of his 34 years of life.

Taking advantage of pre-sales for season ticket renewal at the Pirelli Store on Corso Venezia is convenient and fast, she stated.

"Inter have always been a part of my family, even from so far away. My father followed the Italian league much more than the Brazilian one. The year of the treble was fantastic, but last year was a difficult one. However, sometimes you fall in love even more when you know you’re needed as a supporter. I have a lot of hope for next season."

Simple, splendid, with a kind of pure beauty that’s found in few women, Veridiana has no intention to focusing on her showgirl career alone.

"I’m 27 years old and ready to branch out with my cosmetics company, Cosmetics Milan. This is my city now and it’s the right time to do it, before I have children and really 'grow up'. With Inter in my heart."

Forza Inter, as always.

FIRST INTER CRUISE READY TO SET SAIL

Sunday 16 June, at 17:00 from the port of Civitavecchia, we set off for a week in the Mediterranean: 700 fans, Bedy Moratti and captain Zanetti

MILAN - Athens, Ephesus, Crete. And, why not, even Civitavecchia and Messina. There's no way you’ve seen them like this before – decked out in black and blue!
The Inter Cruise is ready to weigh anchor with over 700 Inter fans on board and embark on a journey – starting from Civitavecchia and stopping at Messina to take on even more fans – that will tinge the Mediterranean with the colours we love most. Our colours. Your colours. Nerazzurri.
The 'Navigator of the Seas', the Royal Caribbean cruise ship, will weigh anchor on Sunday 16 June, at 17:00, and return to Civitavecchia on the morning of Sunday 23 June. Inter Club honorary president Bedy Moratti will be aboard – the Inter icon simply couldn’t miss this opportunity, especially as 76 official Inter Clubs have decided to join us on this week-long extravaganza, taking in the sights and some of the most extraordinary ports of Greece and Turkey. And as an extra bonus for the fans on the cruise, from 19 June – when the ship docks in Athens – another Inter legend will board: Javier Zanetti.
Are you ready to take part in the 'Zanetti Game Story'? Do you know all the records he’s set at Inter? We'll find out when the captain hosts an evening dedicated completely to him. Just one of the many events he will be taking part in: did you know that "Il Capitano" loves singing? Perhaps you did – but we can assure you that actually hearing and watching him sing live, on a ship in the middle of the Mediterranean, will be something else!
You will find the entire 'Inter world' on the cruise. Opportunities to have your picture taken in the Trophy Room alongside the cups won by the team, shop in the two Inter Store branches on board, sample what it’s like to attend a course to obtain a coaching badge or even enrol your child (up to the age of 14) in 'Inter Camp', the football school where youngsters will be coached by staff from the F.C. Internazionale youth academy. Roberto Boninsegna and Mauro Bellugi will be there with them too.
All in a completely unique atmosphere of relaxation and comfort dedicated to Inter in every single way. But this isn't only about football - there will be other sports too: basketball, volleyball, golf, free climbing, even ice skating. Lovers of card games will be able to take part in 'burraco', 'scopa' and 'briscola' tournaments. And fans will also have access to the various fitness centres, swimming pools and relaxation areas on board. Evenings can be spent watching lavish cabaret productions in the theatre and show lounge, or continue into the small hours at the ship nightclub, bars and casino.
The 'voice of Inter', Roberto Scarpini, will also be there to host the 21 planned Nerazzurri events. Inter Channel will be there too, broadcasting on-board activities as they happen every day of the cruise. Are you ready to set sail? We're waiting for you.

MILITO: "MORE DETERMINED THAN EVER. THANKS FOR YOUR MESSAGES"

El Principe thanks fans and sets sights on returning to the pitch: "I'm recovering in Argentina, all going well. Can't wait to start the new season"
MILAN - Nerazzurri fans from across the globe have been sending in messages for Diego Milito on his birthday. El Principe was keen to thank those who have shown how fond of him they are, while expressing his enthusiasm as he eyes a return to the action.
"My heartfelt thanks go to everyone who's sent me kind words. I'm recovering in Argentina and it's all going well," Milito said on this official Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/DiegoMilitoOfficialPage). "I can't wait to return and get stuck into the new season... more determined than ever! ZANETTI: "SEE YOU ON THE CRUISE!"

On the day he extends his contract, the captain gives us an update on his recovery and looks forward to seeing the fans on board

MILAN - "You've got to put up with me for another year..." Javier Zanetti began with a joke as he spoke to Inter Channel this afternoon, after signing a one-year extension to his contract.

"I'm very happy, especially because the club has once again shown they back me. I'll do everything in my power to be back fit as soon as possible to help out my team-mates. I feel better, this is the last week with the brace, then I'll start walking without crutches and with normal shoes, which is what I want more than anything right now. I still can't run, I wish I could... but I need to wait a while longer," explained the skipper.
Javier's thoughts then turned to the Nerazzurri fans: "The supporters were impeccable last season, they were right with us, once again showing their passion and desire to win trophies again with us."
The captain will continue his rehab and he finished by reminding us of the next big date in the Inter calendar: "See you on the cruise!" He will add some glamour to the Inter Cruise organised by Royal Caribbean and Inter, which sets sail for the Mediterranean on 16 June.
